Stay away from DJs, these guys are a complete scam. I'm from NJ and was buying an older Jeep in MD, so I figured I'd do the responsible thing and have a pre-purchase inspection done to understand how much I'd have to repair immediately. I was promised a full write up, with pictures, and a compression test. What a joke this turned out to be... I knew the Jeep had a rear differential issue and was red. No report was provided, no pictures, and they told me the transmission was bad, but there were no leaks and compression was good. I questioned the tech who told me the trans was bad as to why the front diff worked, but not the rear (there's only 1 output on a transmission that goes into a xfer case). Clearly this guy had no idea what a transfer case was or how 4WD worked - very strange coming from a mechanic. He did tell me the Jeep was red, so he knew his colors at the very least. In reality, when replacing leaking valve cover, I noticed that 2 pushrod were bent for 2 different cylinders - they lied to me on the compression test results. The main oil seal leaks like crazy and the carb was bad, and the brake lines were rusted so badly I'm surprised they haven't failed already. The only thing they told me that was bad, the transmission, works perfectly though. DJ's is useless, they don't know the basics of how cars work, stay away. When I asked them to do the repurchase inspection, I told them that I'd do a nice write-up review on the internet - here it is guys.
On my way out the door last week, complaining to a neighbor that I had an air leak in a tire and had to go get it fixed. She suggested D.J.'s as they had done work for her a couple of times and she was very happy with them. I went and they fixed the tire right away and recommended I replace two tires that were getting bad. No pressure, just whenever I wanted to do it. I called back this week and they ordered the tires and put them on the next day. Very professional and great customer service.

I had to wait 30 mins to know part price is $ 159 plus tax and $ 89 labor total $ 258 plus tax charge but I knew the brake pads price so I refused repair but owner wanted me pay $35 for telling pad price.
I bought brake pads at Auto zone for $26.99 and labor fee just $ 50 at mechanic store between Rt 1 and Madison ave.
New to the area, I had a great experience. I felt comfortable in my spirit from the time I walked in. I was not disappointed. The owner went above and beyond to get the job done and courteous called me progress. My truck was finished and passed inspection as promised. This will definitely be my go to automotive shop. EXCELLENT JOB GUYS!
