The library is not the library like back in the days when silence and no cell phone conversations ruled, but for the most part, I'm okay with this because the public is not too bad here when it comes to consideration (Edit: the inconsiderate bunch are those with their toddlers in the AM. I don't know which group is worse the teens or the mothers of the toddlers. Like, hheelllloooo, the library is still a place where about 97% of its population is studying, tutoring, quiet things, etc. Therefore, stop coming in like the entire library is just a big playground for your toddlers! Must you keep up so much chaos and noise as though the world revolves around you and yours!?) The staff is helpful when asked for assistance. (Edit: Although helpful, the staff is not as friendly as originally thought.) A young, male volunteer only walks around talking to himself aloud and that type of behavior is creepy. He doesn't do any work the whole time unless his job is to creep the public out in the library. Other than that, I choose this library over the other 3 I've been to in Maryland. Well, it is closest to me since I reside on the Howard County side of Laurel. Oh, can't forget Sarah. She's wonderful. So friendly and helpful. She walked around giving out Chick-fil-a meal coupons just because school started back, "Happy Back 2 School day she said. Lol. Thank you!! (Edit: Well, thanks for the coupon, but my impression of Sarah changed completely this past Saturday when I heard her telling a co-worker that they shouldn't speak unless the customer speaks first. Well, dang Sarah, I disagree. You are the ones employed in the customer service industry so you all should act like it. You all should make some eye contact, smile and/or greet. Stop walking around, slamming the doors of the offices-because that's where the majority of you are for the shifts- pretending to be working. It is as annoying & inconsiderate as the toddler parents and the overgrown, overly noisy teenagers running around like they're in the school playground and the hired security just stands in the center of the room like he or she is scared!! Smh

Courteous staff and friendly environment. They also schedule classes for kids. A good collection of fiction and non-fiction books along with huge digital library. They also have workstation and printers.

Taking advantage of the free STEM courses is a great idea! Friendly instructors and relevant subjects such as video editing and Javascript.

Very knowledgeable and courteous staff. Great resources and kid friendly.
