Pros: the staff are friendly and courteous, especially over the phone.
The 2 stars out of 5 are only there because the staff were 5/5 courteous and friendly. Everything else about this company is a loss.

* They will send you a letter with a due date, but if this due date falls on a weekend, guess what? Your payment is automatically late even if you pay online by the due date.
I've gotten 2 loans through them. The first of which they financed my bedroom set through a furniture company. Paid it off and had no issues. The second loan was to help pay for me wedding. Once again, paying it off with no issues. Do what you are supposed to do and there's no problem. I haven't used their website to make payments, I just call and eat the $5 charge but it's worth it vs a late fee IF their site is bad. I've never had a problem with any of their staff and I've met at least 4 to 5 of them throughout the years.
Mariner Finance is a great company when it comes to lending but extremely inflexible when there are challenges. They are quick to take you to court for collection. I have a few months to pay off and I will never consider them again considering I have a long relationship with them. I was highly disappointed when I became unemployed and had difficulty in paying on time couple of times.
