Attic Books is the perfect antidote to the glossy theme park emptiness of the big box bookstores and the sensory deprivation tank of online book shopping. It's small, it's cozy, and you're unlikely to find the latest hyped-up bestseller making the rounds in the cheerful chatter circuit on these closely spaced shelves. It's a place to browse, to root, and to find the book you didn't know you wanted to read just yet. Prices are reasonable, the owner/operator is knowledgeable and usually genial, and it just has that certain feeling that a bibliophile can't help but love. It's certainly not the be-all-end-all of book shopping, but Attic Books is a bijou treasure for anyone who lives to read.

I'd driven by the store many times thinking that it had gone out of business but it is indeed open during the hours advertised. If you're a book-phile check it out

Large and interesting selection for a small brick and mortar bookstore. Nowhere near as extensive as my favorite used book store Haslams (in St. Pete Florida) and certainly no Strand Books. If you're anything like me, bring a list and you may find a few hard to find tomes that you've wanted or just browse and you'll probably leave with more than you thought you would.

I don't understand other reviews claiming that Attic Books has a "Weird atmosphere". I went there for the first time this afternoon; the owner (I assume) asked me if I needed help, when I said "no, thank you" he left me alone until I asked him a question about a book. He was knowledgeable and friendly. I'll go back again.

Though they advertise that they buy books, the scope of what will be bought is VERY limited. When I last inquired they were particularly interested in foreign language dictionaries and not much else.

Given the advent of E-books and what Amazon and E-Bay have done to the book sale and re-sale markets, that's not at all surprising

The owner was very knowledgeable, when I asked him for a title he walked right to it.

It's an old been here for years bookstore. It has a second hand bookstore feel you would read about in a book. I loved the store, the owner is quiet until spoken too, then he's quite pleasant and knowledgeable. I have went there multiple times and loved each time.
